NZ Association of Counsellors mini conference: ‘Recent Research: An Update for Counsellors’ July 2004.
The purpose of this presentation was to unmask the insidious, all-pervasive hidden form of domestic violence – psychological abuse. Common discourses about domestic violence that trap and endanger women. A full understanding of men’s perpetration of power and control is necessary to enhance women’s safety.
