Clare as a Counsellor and Coach
Clare Murphy has a lifetime of hours of counselling and coaching experience and has observed that although many clients come with depression or anxiety it all too often becomes apparent that they are either in, or have been in, a relationship with a perpetrator of one-sided ‘power and control’. It could be their husband, their boss, a school bully, or an entire family of in-laws.
Quite often depression and anxiety are not the culprits. Not surprisingly many people are released from their so-called depression and anxiety once they understand the prevalence and dynamics of one-sided ‘power and control’. They become angry, take their power and change their lives. Often victims of ‘power and control’ are confused, blame themselves, have recurring nightmares, feel as if the whole thing is a big mystery, and many want revenge and consider how to get revenge. They are obsessed. Fortunately for many, all these problems drop away once they fully understand the dynamics of this messy, horrible social problem.
